World Description: The modern world, except with Power Rangers and evil supervillains from space trying to destroy said Rangers to steal their Energems.
History: Over a hundred thousand years ago, Koda lived with his tribe and family in the Middle Paleolithic era. He was, he says, born during a mammoth hunt because his mother couldn't get back to their cave in time. His life was, with no evidence to state the contrary, typical of a caveman, and remained so until he was digging in a cave one day and uncovered the Blue Energem, buried in a cave wall. Almost immediately afterwards, he heard his brother screaming for him; Taku was being menaced by a sabertooth tiger, that was either going to leap at and kill him, or knock him off a cliff and into the bitter-cold ocean below to die. Koda's response was to tackle the sabertooth, saving Taku but sending them both plummeting into the ocean. Presumably the sabertooth was killed; Koda, still holding the Energem, was frozen in the deep water for a hundred thousand years.

During an expedition in modern times (around 2015), Miss Kendall Morgan (then a scientist on the hunt for Energems) and Chase Randall (the Dino Charge Black Ranger), found stole and defrosted him in the Dino Charge Base. There's little known on what happened between then and the start of the series proper, when Koda and Chase are both established Power Rangers, but it can be assumed Kendall and Chase (probably more him) both taught Koda to speak English, as well as an attempt at table manners, clothes (didn't sink so well) and basic hygiene (...did not sink).

Currently he works alongside Kendall with her research on the Energems, as well as at the Amber Beach Dinosaur Musuem's Dino Bite Cafe. He also lives in the Dino Labs beneath the museum, in a small cavern offshoot.

Personality: Koda is a gentle, excitable young caveman. He's very naive in relation to the modern world, and a lot of what would be considered common knowledge is completely beyond his ken - his knowledge of technology is limited to the use of his Power Ranger gear. This can be very easily set up as him being an idiot, but that's not the case at all; he has excellent survival skills, and is a top-tier brawler, with extensive knowledge on edible plants and hunting (the former may have lessened slightly, given how plants have changed in the last hundred millenia, but it's still applicable). He currently lives in a small cavern inside the Dino Lab; this appears to be a sheltered, safe space for him, where he lives as though he was back in his own time. He's drawn cave paintings on the wall, telling his story, and occasionally will take items of interest to examine, use and occasionally (though not intentionally) destroy. Without his own cave in reach, he will likely find a suitable cavern and create a new one, and write his story on the walls once more. He won't take to living in the apartments, but he won't live far from them; he likes people.

He has a heart of gold and a deep love for the other Power Rangers, seeing them as his new family and having a bond with them that's so strong that the Monster of the Week, specifically equipped to destroy the relationships between people, had his weapon wrecked when he tried to destroy Koda's bond. He also has a surprisingly cheeky, "taking the mickey" sense of humour, tricking one friend into doing his chores and, to someone who'd just invented something, claiming his grandfather invented the wheel.

Unfortunately, he does have some pretty basic flaws. He has a very short attention span, and can be very easily distracted, especially by food. And when he does get distracted, he stays on it almost beyond reason (for example, attempting to retrieve a cookie from an unpowered vending machine, to the point of almost freezing to death over it). And due to his poor English skills, metaphors and slang can confuse him, or at the very least goes way over his head. Since he is a caveman, and not a modern human, his first instinct will always be to react to a surprise with violence, threatening if not outright attacking what has alarmed him.

He's adjusted surprisingly well to this new world and all the new sights, smells and advances in technology it has to offer. His approach to new things is usually caution from a short distance, but when more experienced people of the time period prove something is safe or mundane, he is more than happy to investigate it with great gusto - though a guide to help him is greatly appreciated. If the item does something unexpected, however, (such as a television show giving him a jumpscare, or a phone abruptly ringing) his caveman instincts may kick in, and result in the item being attacked and, given his incredible strength, wrecked. Despite his limited English, he seems to take comfort in talking out his struggles with the modern world with his friends, and letting them know what and how he is thinking at a given time, so his caveman mind is on the same page as theirs.

Overall Koda is a kind, strong soul who will always do his best for the people around him, whether or not he knows them in any way.

Inventory:
- One (1) torn sleeveless caveman shirt and matching digs
- Dino Charge Morpher in thigh holster (A yellow dinosaur-themed handgun that shoots energy blasts and, when a Dino Charger is inserted into its barrel, transforms Koda into his Ranger armour: this is done by a dinosaur head being fired from the gun and chomping on the Ranger. It can be charged by spinning the barrel for a power blast; when (and only when) in armour, the cylinder can be dragged down Koda's arm for a bonus weapon, an inpenetrable StegoShield.
- 3 Dino Chargers (batteries used to transform into his armour and boost the power of the Morpher for a final attack)
- Dino Com (Basically a phone, that connects solely to other Dino Coms. Primarily uses video calls. Is also a storage case for Dino Chargers.)
- Blue Energem on leather necklace (This glowing blue stone contains the soul of a Stegosaurus that was charged with protecting the all-powerful gem. This soul bonded to Koda, protecting him from being frozen in ice for 100,000 years and prevents him from aging while keeping him in peak physical condition. Can be used to transform into his armour with the Morpher, or even without it. He can summon the gem back to his hand from a distance of a few metres, and it can be used to project a small image of the dinosaur held within. It is used to recharge the spent Dino Chargers, though Koda doesn't know how to recreate it.)
